2024
Time takes on a different dimension in Michigan. Tucked up into the dunes on the edge of the Great lake the world feels filled with possibility. The abundance of creative energy and the love of family and friends. The Sawbill Surf Club is now officially also a foil club with a full wing foiling set up ready to be ridden. A gallery of women-ideifying athletes now lines the upstairs gallery space and a special Charlie Gregory photograph of the winter surfers in Frankfort is front and center in the living room. The big project this year was a new rock wall in the front yard with hundrerd of pieces of planted dune grass.
A Rural connectors grant from Springboard for the Arts allowed Mary Welcome and Alicia to join in for a study of the arts and culture community in NW Michigan. The Sawbill Surf Club came to life!
